problems driving through. it's nice and early for your commute. this is a look at san francisco northbound 101 traffic is really light. let's go back to the desk. >>> we are following developing news in san francisco where two firefighters were injured fighting an apartment building fire. huge fire. it started just before 1:00 this morning in the bay view district. tara moriarty is there on the scene with more on why this fire was so hard to control. tara. >> reporter: we're here at mckin anyone and third street. part of this street is blocked off here. it took crews more than two hours to contain this fire. it got going pretty well because there was an exposed gas line and it took pg&e an hour and 15 minutes to turn it off. about two dozen people were able to escape their homes. they evacuated two buildings. flames broke out just before 1:00 this morning and everyone got out safely but it was a close call. residents say they heard alarms going off and people pounding on their door. >> crackling, sparks, little explosions from the wood or whatever and different stuff that is flammable. and

coming up to the bay bridge and traffic is moving nicely all the way into san francisco. also the morning commute on 237 west is off to a good start, 5:00 let's go back to the desk. >>> there are new developments in the case of a stolen boat found stranded in passive can. right now the multi-million dollar yacht is being towed to richmond and alex savage is there where the boat will undergo repairs. >> that luxury sailboat is expected to arrive in about 15 minutes or so and they are expected to arrive from passive can all across the bay and it's going to be brought here to bay marine boatworks in richmond where it will be hoisted out of the water and the captain of the ship will get a closer look at the damage. the owner of the salvage company told me they do have a bent rutter and a burned up engine and a tugboat freed them just before 1:00 a.m. this morning. it ran aground yesterday in about four feet of water in pacifica. police arrested four people on board who stole the 82-foot boat from a marina. the coast guard was suspicious because the people on board refused help after getting s
